Use it three times a week for the first two weeks to slow hair growth and twice a week for the 3rd and 4th week to achieve permanent hair removal. After the treatment period, JOVS can be used once a month to do any touch-up that may be needed.

Lower legs got decent results with significant hair reduction but I still have to shave my legs but very infrequently. The underarms and bikini are the only areas I treated that did not get good results.

Be warned that the recommended use for effect is 3-4 times for the first four weeks, 2-3 times the next fours, then 1-2 times a month for maintenance forever after that.

You should shave within 24 hours of your scheduled laser appointment. Your laser technician cannot treat areas that have hair above the skin. You cannot even receive treatment if there is rough stubble because this may create too much heat for the pigment of your skin.

If an at-home laser works for you, it may be worth the investment, as it would be significantly cheaper to use at home than to continuously get treatments at the doctor's office.
