What settings should be used on a diode laser?I bought a package of 8 diode laser treatments. The technician saw my shaven underarms and said that my hair is too thick and the laser will not work for me. She then tried to sell me the medical laser that would cost me a lot more, or if I wanted to stick with the diode, I would need to buy at least 20 sessions. I decided to stick with the 8 session plan. I have white skin and black hair. After the first session I took a photo of the settings she used. Thoughts on effectiveness of settings?1 EXPERT ANSWERS

Laser burns on the arms! How long will it take to heal and what should I do? (Photos)I have been undertaking laser hair removal and never had problems. However, yesterday during my 3rd session I got badly burnt in my arms only. The settings were the same as used in previous sessions - 19J/cm2, 40ms, 1,5Hz, 755nm. Can you please tell me what should I do to help to heal as fast as possible? I'm terrified with the idea of having to wear long sleeves all summer. I fear my Soprano Ice laser settings are too low? I just have a few hairless patches.I am halfway through a 6 session course of laser hair removal. My hair falls out 10-20 days after each session, but most of it grows back shortly before my next session. I just have a few hairless patches that remain. I had laser hair removal last week. I noticed dark, black blotches in the inside of my bikini area. Is this a burn/scar?The area is not hot to touch. It is not something I can feel when I touch it.
